UAE
The United Arab Emirates is a country located in South-West Asia on an area of 83.6 thousand square meters. km. The capital is Abu Dhabi. The official language is Arabic, the state religion is Islam.
The UAE is a federal state consisting of seven monarchies. According to the Constitution, the supreme body of power is the Supreme Federal Council, which consists of the rulers of all emirates. The highest executive body is the Council of Ministers. Legislation goes from government to approval by the president, who is the emir of the largest emirate. There are no political parties.
In ancient times, the territory was inhabited by nomadic tribes who were engaged in hunting, fishing, pearl fishing, and camel breeding. By the 7th century, the power of the Arab Caliphate was established here, from the 15th century the Portuguese and British showed interest in the lands, and in 1971 the independent emirates united, forming a modern state.
Population
About 10 million people actually live in the Emirates, while the indigenous population, referred to as citizens, is about 15%, and the overwhelming majority of residents are labor migrants. In addition to the official language, English is widespread, in everyday life you can hear various dialects of Arabic. Residents of the UAE adhere to the morality and traditions of Islam. Young citizens, getting married, receive land or funds from the state for its acquisition, as well as an interest-free loan for building a house.
Economy
The economy of the Emirates is based on oil production and export, but thanks to the diversification of the economy, the share of the oil and gas industry in the country’s GDP has now dropped to less than 40%. The state is actively developing shipbuilding, production of building materials and aluminum, the textile industry, tourism, services and trade. Agriculture is dominated by traditional oasis farming: watermelons, dates and vegetables are grown.
The country imports the widest range of goods – from food to industrial complexes. In addition to petroleum products, there are pearls, dates, and scrap iron for export. Re-export occupies a special place in trade. The main foreign economic partners are India, China, Iran, Oman, and the United States.
Transport
More than 4 thousand km of roads have been laid in the UAE, almost all of them have a hard surface. The main mode of transport is cars, there is also a bus and rail service, taxis, including water taxis, are popular as public transport. Eleven international airports and major seaports of the state are focused on a developed transit transport infrastructure.

Most of the area of the Emirates is occupied by the Arabian Desert, and only 5% of the territory is suitable for human life.
Each emirate has free economic zones where businesses are exempt from duties and taxes.
The national currency is the UAE dirham.
