UAE started accepting Mir cards

The United Arab Emirates now has the technical ability to accept cards from the Mir payment system, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the system’s statement.

Reportedly, merchants that are clients of the region’s largest e-commerce company, Network International, can now accept Mir payment cards.

Now the organization is actively connecting payment terminals in Dubai and other regions of the country. The set-up of all terminals for accepting Russian cards is planned to be completed by the end of the year.

By the way, in Russia, the majority of benefits and pensions come to the Mir cards. Thus, from October 1, monthly payments in connection with the birth of a child, which are received by families with low income, began to arrive on Mir cards. If the parents do not have a Mir card, the funds are credited to a bank account, and they can be received at the cash desk or by postal order.
