The Italian Visa Application Center in Russia announced that since yesterday, March 1, it has begun accepting documents for issuing tourist visas. At the same time, on February 27, Italy, along with other EU countries, closed its airspace to Russian aircraft due to a military special operation in Ukraine.

“We inform you that from March 1, 2022, the acceptance of documents for issuing tourist visas to Italy is resumed. Documents are accepted by appointment, ”the message on the center’s website says. According to a TASS source, air communication with Italy is now possible through third countries.

Together with Italy, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Ireland, Sweden, Iceland, France, Spain, Portugal, as well as non-EU Norway, North Macedonia and the United States closed their airspace to Russia.

Now, with a Russian passport, you can fly to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Vietnam, Georgia, Turkey, Qatar, Mexico, Brazil, UAE, Serbia, Thailand, India, Egypt, Lebanon, South Africa, Argentina, Tunisia, Oman, Seychelles, Israel, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Jordan and Ethiopia.
