Spartak confirmed the fact of negotiations with sheikhs from the UAE

Moscow “Spartak” is in contact with a number of investors from the United Arab Emirates regarding the sale of the club’s shares.

In an interview with TASS, the head of the press service of “Spartak” Dmitry Zelenov said that the news of the negotiations was well founded. “There is nothing more to add. This is decided at the level of shareholders, ”Zelenov stressed.

In early November, it was reported that the City Football Group holding may acquire a part of the Moscow club’s shares. CFG owns Manchester City as well as ten other teams around the world.

Spartak scored 19 points in 15 rounds of the Russian championship and is ranked tenth in the standings. The Moscow club has a passive streak of five matches without victories – two defeats and three draws. In the 16th round, Spartak will play against Ufa on Monday, November 29. The beginning is at 17:00 (Moscow time).
