Smolny is ready to give more than 70 million rubles to promote St. Petersburg in the UAE and Saudi Arabia
The authorities of the northern capital are ready to give over 70 million rubles to increase the tourist attractiveness of St. Petersburg among the residents of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, who will be told about the gastronomic and cultural delights of the city. The countries chosen by Smolny are not accidental: usually their residents spend much more than other tourists.
Delovoy Petersburg drew attention to the relevant tenders. Procurement was announced by St. Petersburg State Budgetary Institution “City Tourist Information Bureau”. Winners will be chosen by the end of this February.
The city on the Neva will be promoted only in Dubai for 37.7 million rubles: advertising should be broadcast not only at the local airport, but also on the streets of the city.
For advertising St. Petersburg in Riyadh, Smolny is ready to pay 34.9 million rubles: this amount includes only a presentation at the airport.
The terms of reference for the procurement specifies that their goal is to form a “positive and attractive image of the city in the eyes of the target audience” in the Middle East.
The PR campaign about St. Petersburg should last in the UAE and Saudi Arabia until December 10, 2022. Based on the results, contractors undertake to provide Smolny with a report on its effectiveness.
