“Moskabelmet” at a meeting at the Embassy of Bahrain

On October 7, General Director of the Moskabelmet Group of Companies Pavel Moryakov took part in the official reception of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Russia – Ahmed Abdulrahman Mahmud Ismail Al-Saati. The “Autumn Rhapsody in Moscow” event took place in the embassy building, which is located on Kutuzovsky Prospekt.

Participation in this meeting is a kind of part of the strategy for expanding the company’s export geography. Moskabelmet is confidently entering foreign markets, including the countries of the Persian Gulf. So, two years ago, the products were presented at The Big 5 International Exhibition in Dubai.

The Kingdom of Bahrain is an exporter of oil and natural gas; the banking and tourism sectors of the economy are highly developed here. The capital of the state, Manama, is home to many of the world’s largest financial institutions. Bahrain is a high income country.

For more than 20 years, the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Bahrain have been developing bilateral cooperation, including within the framework of areas traditional for the Moskabelmet Group of Companies – the defense and space industries. So, for example, this spring Russia and Bahrain agreed on a joint space exploration. The memorandum signed by Roscosmos and the Bahrain National Agency for Space Sciences is designed to take countries’ cooperation in space exploration to a new level. In June, the Bahrain delegation visited the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, where the parties discussed ways and mechanisms for expanding cooperation between large companies in Moscow and the capital of the eastern state, Manama. A few days before that, on May 31, 2021, a webinar was held on the topic: “Russia – Bahrain. Food trade after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic ”, organized by the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and the State Export Administration of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This year, the Ministry of Transport and Telecommunications of the Kingdom of Bahrain presented a project for the construction of the country’s first subway to regional and international investors and developers. And by 2023 Bahrain and five other Gulf countries will be connected by a 2200 km railway network. The implementation of these ambitious plans could open a new chapter in the history of cooperation between Russia and Bahrain. The enterprises of the Moskabelmet Group of Companies, which have vast experience in the production of high-quality cables and wires for transport infrastructure facilities, are ready to supply their products for the implementation of these and other projects.
