CREATIVE TEAMS OF YUGRA PRESENT THEIR ART IN THE UAE IN 2022

The Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) plans, together with the United Arab Emirates, to hold a show of the best creative teams and masters of Ugra in Sharjah in 2022 and publish a book in Arabic about the indigenous peoples of the North, which will be placed in the libraries of the UAE. Artur Latypov, director of the department of culture of Ugra, told TASS on Tuesday.

“During a working meeting with the Director of the Sharjah Heritage Institute, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musalam, we discussed plans for interaction between Ugra and the United Arab Emirates. In 2022, we plan to organize a show of the best creative teams and masters of the Autonomous Okrug in Sharjah, ”the agency’s source said.

According to him, what specific groups and performances will be presented in the UAE is currently being discussed. Collectives of state cultural institutions of Ugra are considered. Artur Latypov also said that during the meeting the issue of publishing the first book about the indigenous peoples of the North living in Ugra in Arabic was discussed. “It is planned that work on it will begin in 2022 and, after publication, will be available in the UAE libraries for everyone. It will tell about the history, culture of indigenous peoples. This will be the first edition of this kind in Arabic, ”said Artur Latypov.
